Kendall Bend Sponsors Grid Iron Grill: Dinner with the Greats Benefitting Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities hosted their first ever once-in-a-lifetime experience event & fundraiser, Grid Iron Grill. This evening featured a five-course meal from the team at Zydeco and dinner with five professional football greats and their spouses! Guests had the opportunity to meet and dine with Drew & Mara Bledsoe (New England Patriots), Dan & Jeri Fouts (San Diego Chargers), Ken & Sheryl Ruettgers (Green Bay Packers) Gary & Lisa Zimmerman (Minnesota Vikings/Denver Broncos), and Kevin & Breanna Boss (New York Giants/Las Vegas Raiders/Kansas City Chiefs). These football greats all live in the Central Oregon area and shared with guests their experience in the NFL, life with a family as a professional athlete, and beyond!

This was the first event hosted at the Ronald McDonald House in Bend since it was newly renovated in 2022 after an extremely successful Capital Campaign. Beyond this incredible dinner and fundraiser, guests had the opportunity to see the house for the first time after the remodel. Penny Whipps, Director of Development – Central Oregon Ronald McDonald House Charities, shared that it would not be possible to give families a home away from home without the support from this incredible community.
