Kendall Central Oregon Raises over $5000 through Men Wear Pink Fundraiser Benefitting American Cancer Society
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Kendall Central Oregon partnered with American Cancer Society through the Men Wear Pink Campaign to spread awareness and raise funds for the resources & initiatives led by ACS. Kendall Toyota of Bend finance manager, Josh Brown, has been a Men Wear Pink Ambassador on behalf of Kendall & ACS for three years in a row, breaking his own fundraising record in 2024 by surpassing over $5000 raised. With breast cancer being the number one most diagnosed cancer in Oregon & Washington, American Cancer Society uses funds raised through this campaign to fund the Oregon Breast and Cervical Cancer Programs and provide direct care to patients in our community. According to ACS, it is estimated that 4,440 people in Oregon will hear the words, “you have breast cancer” in 2024 alone.
Josh kicked off his 2024 campaign at Silver Moon Brewing with a bingo fundraiser and was overwhelmed by the support from our community. He kept the fundraising going at all Kendall dealerships in Central Oregon, selling Breast Cancer awareness sweatshirts and hats staff members were encouraged to wear every Friday in October. The Kendall Bend staff rocked their pink every week, not only to show support for the fundraiser but to remind the people we love, including ourselves, to go get screened and take action before getting diagnosed. Thank you to our Kendall staff and community for supporting Josh and the Men Wear Pink Campaign through your donations, conversations with friends and family, and so much more! Although October is coming to a close, we want to remind everyone that we can fight for a cure all year long by getting annual checkups & testing, supporting other fundraisers and initiatives led by American Cancer Society, and staying educated on the latest research.
