Kendall Real Men Wear Pink Representative, Josh Brown, Raises over $2000 on Behalf of American Cancer Society

For the entire month of October, Kendall Central Oregon partnered with American Cancer Society in support of their breast cancer awareness initiatives and research. Josh Brown, Kendall Central Oregon Used Car Buyer & Sales Representative, stepped up to be our Real Men Wear Pink representative on behalf of Kendall and American Cancer Society. Real Men Wear Pink exists in communities across the nation, where groups of community leaders tap into the power of pink by raising awareness & funds. Each Real Men Wear Pink ambassador has pledged to raise $2500 for ACS, and we need your help! Josh has been working hard to reach his goal and has currently raised over $2100 between internal and community fundraisers. You can help him reach his goal and draw attention to the breast cancer fight!

ABOUT JOSH BROWN:

Why Josh wears pink: Josh Brown’s journey into the world of breast cancer is deeply rooted in his personal experience. It’s a story that begins with his mom, whose strength and resilience with a battle against cervical cancer profoundly impacted him. While his mom overcame her own health challenges, it sparked a desire within him to help his community fight against similar cancer experiences. Josh’s mom’s journey was a defining moment in his life; her unwavering determination, even in the face of a life-altering diagnosis, left an undeniable mark on his heart. He witnessed firsthand how adversity can be turned into an opportunity to grow stronger. This experience became a source of inspiration and a reminder of the incredible power of hope and resilience.

Josh has partnered with American Cancer Society with a primary focus of increasing the well-being of our Central Oregon community. In the words of Josh, “Breast Cancer knows no boundaries, affecting individuals from all walks of life. I want to channel my mom’s strength and determination into making a tangible difference in the fight against breast cancer right here in our community.”

Fundraising Highlights:

Josh has raised over $2100 as of the beginning of November by encouraging our Kendall employees to support the cause and spreading awareness in the community. Josh has until December to meet his goal, but we would like the highlight the work that has been done so far!

Kendall Central Oregon team members went casual for a cause each Friday in October by wearing pink & jeans with a $5.00 donation toward the cause. This collective effort raised over $1,000 on behalf of Josh as a Real Men Wear Pink ambassador and American Cancer Society. Thank you to all our Kendall staff that joined together in the fight against breast cancer!

On October 26^th, Josh & the Kendall Cares team partnered with Donner Flower shop to auction off some beautiful bouquets at a Kendall community event. Thanks to the warm hearts of our guests, Josh raised just over $1,000 again by auctioning nine beautiful bouquets. Although the Kendall Cares team could work on our auctioning skills, some attendees were generous enough to donate more than the amount the flower arrangements went for. Thank you to all Kendall staff members & community members for joining us in our initiative and fight against breast cancer.
