October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

October 3rd, 2022 by

Kendall Bend is joining forces with American Cancer Society to raise money for Breast Cancer research, education, and support. Throughout the entire month of October, Kendall employees will fundraise and spread awareness through various in-store, community, and social media initiatives. Our two main fundraising efforts will be through Casual for a Cause Fridays and supporting Kendall Bend’s very own REAL MEN WEAR PINK representative.

PUTTING THE POWER IN PINK: Real Men Wear Pink representatives are community leaders that fight breast cancer with the American Cancer Society. ACS is leading the breast cancer fight through research, education, and support to those who need it most. We are proud to announce that one of our Kendall Bend team members, Josh Brown, volunteered to join forces with ACS by becoming a Real Men Wear Pink representative on behalf of Kendall Auto Group and his community.

Josh is a sales consultant at Kendall Volkswagen of Bend and has been a team leader for a little over a year. He is thrilled for the opportunity to be a RMWP rep because cancer is something that affects so many people in our community. Josh’s mom was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer this year and has learned firsthand how it affects not just the individual but friends and family as well. Josh chose to lead Kendall and his community in fundraising because “cancer can affect anyone, and I hope to encourage others by sharing my experiences and helping to spread awareness about how to support people going through it” (Josh Brown).

Josh will be fundraising through the entire month of October to meet his pledge of $2500 to help American Cancer Society meet their nationwide goal of $11,000,000. Learn more about RMWP, Josh, or find his donation page:
