Pie in the Face
At the beginning of August, Kendall Bend held their annual Pie in the Face fundraiser, benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Bend! This was a fantastic event that involved managers and employees from each store, as well as the cheer team from the Boys and Girls Club. As the cheer team rooted everyone on, a live auction was going on to determine who got to throw a pie. The pie throw went to the highest bid, although there was a TWIST. We gave the individual in the pie seat the opportunity to bid back on the pies and choose anyone in the crowd to put in their pie seat. In true Kendall Bend fashion, the bidding got extremely competitive, and the highest bid went for $375!
With 12 pies thrown, the Kendall bend team raised just over $2500 to donate to the Boys and Girls Club of Bend for new school supplies to support their after-school programs, as well as new uniforms for the cheer team that competes locally. Although some of the employees are still finding pie chunks and whip cream in their clothes and dealerships, we had so much fun fundraising for one of our incredible partners. THANK YOU to the Boys and Girls Club of Bend and all employees that donated, threw a pie, or took a pie… in the face.
