Ronald McDonald House Food and Essential Drive

THREE LOCAL COMPANIES JOIN FORCES TO SUPPORT FAMILIES AND HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS IN NEED.

On Friday, April 17th from 4-7PM, Kendall Auto Group, the Eugene Emeralds and Heritage Distilling Co. hosted a Stuff the Truck Drive at Heritage Distilling Company (110 Madison St, Eugene, OR 97402) to collect non-perishable food, restaurant and grocery gift cards, household cleaning supplies, and new (unused) PPE for both the families and health care providers staying at the Heartfelt House (in association with Ronald McDonald House Charities).

Kendall Cares of Eugene is highly involved in the community and proudly supports a number of healthcare and family-oriented programs.  To continue this support, we partnered with the Eugene Emeralds and Heritage Distilling Company to provide the essentials needed for both families and health care providers staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Heritage kicked off the Stuff the Truck Drive by donating 10 gallons of hand sanitizer to the Ronald McDonald House and NICU. Customers were also able to purchase hand sanitizer at half price to be donated to the Heartfelt House, NICU and Peacehealth Riverbend.  Lastly, in addition to the food and supply drive, we also sold 1qt bags of Mo’s clam chowder base for $12 (feeds 4-6 people). $2 from every bag sold will be donated to the Heartfelt House.

Heritage Distilling Co. (“HDC”), known for their BSB-Brown Sugar Bourbon and other award winning craft spirits, has pivoted from their regular production schedule towards producing Hand Sanitizer in an effort to combat COVID-19. By utilizing all three of their production sites in Oregon and Washington, the company looks to produce up to 35,000 gallons of Hand Sanitizer per day.  HDC’s production site in Eugene has been producing and packaging the sanitizer for our local community, essential front line workers and other state level agencies along the west coast. HDC has also been selling bottles of sanitizer to the public out of their Eugene Tasting Room in the Whiteaker area.
